Anyone have that ride-on Zebra? How does your child like it?
My son will be 1 in October, and I wanted to get him that ride-on Zebra (Bounce & Spin Zebra, I think it's called). I went to Toys-R-Us the other day and was informed that they don't make it anymore, so I got him a ride-on Turtle instead. It's supposedly the exact same as the Zebra, but just a Turtle.
Anyways, I was wondering how your child likes the toy? Also, do you have any other gift ideas for a 1 year old?

My daughter likes it pretty well. She doesn't care to spend all day on it or anything, but it's good for an occasional moment of amusement (maybe it would be different if we got it earlier – she's 19 months). At the age of 12 months, however, I'm not really sure she could have gotten on and off it herself, or held on well enough to not slip off. It would have been too high for her – not sure how tall your son is.
Warning: the music on this thing is kind of annoying. It's sort of like dance music. The zebra also brays and makes clip-clop noises like a horse. I have to watch my daughter when she's using it because she likes to stand up on the seat (again, probably not something she could have managed at 12 months).
Regardless, it's not bad. Seems pretty sturdy, even under extreme bouncing conditions.
It was easy to put together, and takes 3 AAA batteries.
Good luck.
EDIT: just checked Wal-Mart's site. They have a bounce and spin pony, but no zebra.
